About us

At People Power Health, we are committed to bringing practices of activism and community organizing to clinicians and developing a community of health activists that can learn from each other and grow over time.

Why Are We the Right People to Lead this Community?

Since 2019, People Power Health has trained over 500 mid-career clinicians and public health advocates all over the U.S. and world. We’ve helped clinicians advance their efforts to register people to vote, fight for climate justice & address racism in health among things.

What Drives Us?

Fairness:
Health Justice is about fairness. It is about recognizing that vital conditions of daily life are unequally distributed - not allowing everyone a fair chance to thrive.
Dignity: Health Justice is about dignity. Dignity for patients, caregivers, and providers.
Power: Health Justice is about power. A power that is distributed and rooted in relationships and solidarity.
Unity: Health Justice is about unity. The highly fractured society is one of the main reasons for poor health outcomes.
Future: Health Justice is about the future. Our future together.

What is our Mission?

Our mission is to empower clinicians with activism skills to respond to health injustices, co-create equitable health systems.

This community is designed to protect members.

We take our vetting process seriously to ensure every community member feels safe, supported, and aligned with our shared values. Leading change is both challenging and rewarding, and we believe that creating a trusted environment is essential for meaningful collaboration and growth. To maintain this integrity, we carefully review each application to ensure a strong commitment to our mission and the principles we uphold.

Rather than obsessing over numbers, we seek to grow through the trust of our members, who are encouraged to invite like-minded individuals who share our passion for learning and driving change.

We believe this community should belong to its members—not to funders, donors, or institutional sponsors. By doing so, we remain autonomous and fully empowered to set our own agenda.

Our membership model is built on solidarity. If you need financial support—particularly if you are from the Global South or still in training—please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can create a space that truly represents and supports everyone.
